Somewhere between $500,000 and $1 million damage was caused on Tuesday night after a blaze at a house at 4977 Bradley Line in Dover.
Chatham-Kent fire officials say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
“Firefighters from Station #4 Dover arrived to find a fully involved structure fire,” said Bob Davidson, assistant fire chief.
“Due to the extent of the fire and the condition of the structure a defensive strategy was initiated. Station #15 Raleigh North and Station #7 Chatham Township South assisted in the firefighting efforts. There were no injuries or fatalities.”
Crews responded to the two story residential home along the Thames River at around 9:40 p.m.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service is also investigating the fire.
