A man faces a string of charges after an incident in Wallaceburg early Tuesday morning.
Police officials say at approximately 1:10 a.m. this morning, police responded to the area of McNaughton Avenue and Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg in regards to a suspicious man.
The intoxicated man was observed acting erratically and causing damage in the park.
Upon police arrival, the man jumped onto the hood of the cruiser damaging the hood, windshield and roof.
He continued to evade police and in doing so pushed a woman off her bike as she was riding, causing her to sustain minor injuries.
Another woman observed the incident and tried to intervene.
She sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital as a precaution.
The man was taken into custody by police at 1:13 a.m. behind a business on Dufferin Avenue and transported to police headquarters.
The 19-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with three counts of mischief under $5,000 and two counts of assault.
He will be released when sober pending a future court date of August 30, 2016.
