Lambton resident attacked in Sarnia park

The Criminal Investigations Branch of the Sarnia Police Service is currently investigating an assault that occurred on August 26, 2016 at 12:30 A.M. in Germain Park.

The victim, a 23 year old Lambton County resident, was walking through Germain Park with a female when he was approached from behind by an unknown male.

The unknown male then assaulted the victim who sustained substantial facial injuries as a result of the attack.

The victim is also missing his Samsung Galaxy cell phone and a wallet containing cash.

The unknown male is described as white, 120 lbs, brown eyes and short brown hair.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with information about the attack and the unknown male.

A 21 year old Sarnia resident, who the victim was walking with before the attack has since been charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, aggravated assault and robbery.
