Man dies after plane crash near Sarnia

The Sarnia Police Service received several calls from the public regarding a small two-seater aircraft that went down north of London Line in a cornfield.

The crash occurred today at approximately 11:45 AM.

Several Sarnia Police officers, as well as Sarnia Fire and Lambton EMS, responded to the crash site, which is located near the 2300 block of London Line.

Once on scene, Sarnia Police located the wreckage from the aircraft and determined that the only occupant, a lone male who was in his 50’s had died as a result of the crash.

Transport Canada has been called to assist the Sarnia Police Service with the investigation.
