PEEL: Raymond “Ray” William
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday September 3, 2016 at Maple City Residence, Chatham at the age of 93.
Mr. Peel farmed all his life on the same farm on which he was born on in Dover Township and was the son of the late James and Rose (Fox) Peel. He was a long time member and warden of St. Thomas Anglican Church in Dover.
Beloved husband of the late Marie (Craven) Peel (1994).
Dear father of Linda Devitt of Oakville and Kevin and Pat Peel of Chatham.
Proud grandfather of Jessica Devitt, Bryant Devitt, Ryan (Shannon) Peel, Jeffrey (Brittany) Peel, Stacey Peel & Marshall Jeffrey, Trisha Johnson, Jason Renaud and Michael Renaud & Steven.
Sadly missed by 8 great grandchildren.
Lifetime family friend of Jane Jones of Kent Bridge.
Predeceased by brothers, Joseph and John and sisters, Isabel in infancy and Mary Armstrong.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, ON, on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 1 p.m. , with The Ven. Paul Millward, officiating.
Interment in St. Thomas Church Cemetery.
