A young man was lucky to escape injury after a crash, just north of Wallaceburg on Thursday.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say shortly after 5 p.m. last night, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Langstaff Line between Payne Road and Highway 40.
The driver, lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and struck a hydro pole.
Luckily, he was not injured.
Total damage was estimated at $27,000.
The 20-year-old man was charged with an offence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
