A program that brings back fond memories for me as a parent is the Flying W’s Gymnastics Club in Wallaceburg.

Both my daughters have participated in it over the years, and they always came away with a great experience.

After years of searching to find a new home, the group has finally found what they have been waiting for.

Daylia started her first night of gymnastics for this session on Wednesday, and it was awesome to look around at the Flying W’s new digs.

Not only were they able to have all of their equipment setup ahead of time, there was tons of space for the kids to go through their different skills.

Us parents had ample room to watch our kids as well, as chairs were dispersed around the floor.

For the parents with younger children, there is a separate room they can go play in with with tons of toys, keeping them occupied, busy and entertained while their older sibling is on the mats, beams and bars.

Recently when I was chatting with Linnea Druer, the head coach for the club, she said they have many ideas and opportunities for new programming now because of the new space, including: summer camps, birthday parties, extra sessions, rentals, and more.

She said registration has sky rocketed too.

And speaking of the location, it’s a 5,400 square foot space located at the back of the Tatro Properties building at 6850 Baseline Road in Wallaceburg.

What an awesome way to re-purpose an old empty room.

My hat goes off to the Flying W’s for their perseverance and hard work.

Your dedication really shows.

Thanks for creating a quality, safe spot for our children.
