Shotgun and BB gun among items stolen

Police are looking for information after a handful of items were atolen in Chatham, including a shotgun and BB gun.

Chatham-Kent police officials say sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning, unknown suspects entered an unlocked garage on Indian Creek Road East.

Once inside, the suspects stole a DeWalt reciprocating saw, mountain bike, beer, two firearms, CO2 BB gun resembling a black .45 caliber handgun and a green khaki Horton Super mag compound cross bow with scope.

The first firearm was a Belgium Ranger double barreled side by side hinge break 12 gauge shotgun with a dark walnut stained stock.

The second firearm was a Winchester .270 caliber bolt action rifle with brown stock.

The mountain bike and saw were later recovered in tall grass along Indian Creek Road East.
