Looking to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner this weekend, but want to avoid the hassle of cooking it and cleaning up afterwards? Well, Parks Blueberries has your answer.
The business in between Thamesville and Bothwell is having turkey dinners available at their restaurant on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Hope Parks, one of the owners, said the meals will include all the fixings. They’ll also have some other items available.
“We will have pumpkin scones, pumpkin pies and pumpkin muffins,” she said.
“They are amazing for the fall. We always have the goodies that we have like pies, meat pies. They are good to sell for the winter. Comfort food. If you don’t want to go through the hassle of making it yourself, we have it. We have frozen soups.”
Parks added: “Everyday we always have our special meal for lunch. We always have our soups. We always have fresh made sandwiches made right in front of your eyes. They are very good.”
They also have an assortment of fresh pies, made from scratch, and frozen blueberries available all year long.
Parks will stay open for the season, all the way until Christmas Eve, December 24 at 4 p.m.
Until December 24th at 4 in the afternoon.
“We have a Christmas open house on the first weekend in November,” she said.
Parks Blueberries also features a retail portion of their store.
“We always have our kitchen gadgets section in our kitchen area. We have some neat kitchen items. Right now we have new stuff that is made in France. They are really wonderful kitchen gadgets that are really durable,” Parks said.
“We have some unique gift items and we also have our little wooden area too. We have a few selections of home decor but just unique gift ideas.”
Parks added: “It’s a nice country drive out here. If you want to have a healthy lifestyle, blueberries are always there. For me it’s about promoting a healthy lifestyle. You always want fresh.”
