On Wednesday, October 5th James Street Eatery held a fundraiser called Jammin’ for Jesse. Proceeds from the dinner went to support Jesse Lozon on his road to recovery following an accident in July. Jesse was transferred from London to Chatham to Wallaceburg and remains in hospital with hopes to start rehabilitation in the weeks to come.
The fundraiser was a ticketed event with a dinner and live music by Bushman. Servers Meghan and Krystina as well as hostess Erinn donated their tips to Jesse, and Bushman followed suit. There were also cash donations and prizes donated for a raffle. The evening raised over two thousand dollars to help Jesse and family during his recovery.
Jesse made a surprise appearance in his wheelchair during the event and was able to enjoy dinner and some music before heading back to the hospital. It was his first outing since the accident and was grateful and excited to have lots of family and friends surrounding him, as well as a night out on the town.
Following the fundraiser Jesse reached out to James extending thanks for everyone’s efforts involved in making the night a success. Jesse and James are 3rd cousins and Jesse’s niece Maddie works at the Eatery.
James would like to thank: His mom Synthia for organizing and making the night a blast, Bushman for his tunes and comedy, Chef Muc for the great meals and the Eatery Team for all they do and did that evening, everyone that came out to support including lots of family and friends, Tony and Stephanie for their generous personal donation, and the donations from our sponsors: Mike and Sue at Early Acres Estate Winery, Mark and the team at Westbrooks Flower Shoppe, Melanie and Gary at Accent Alley/Duchene Paints, Julie at All Seasons Nursery, Les at Wallaceburg Home Hardware, Brad at Long Creek Farms and Kaitlyn at Fancy That.
