It was the 3rd annual event and the second time participating for Perry.

On Saturday, he completed the main event, a 15 km marathon in the 45-49 age division. Perry finished 14th out of the 128 who finished. He came in with a time of 2:23:27, with no penalties.

On Sunday, he completed the team event in the Co-ed Pro Division with fellow Canadians, Allison Tai and Caelin White.

” I’m pleased with my results,” Perry told the Sydenham Current. “I came out injury free which was my main goal.”

While in Collingwood on the weekend, Tough Mudder asked him to do a LIVE feed from the venue for them.

“I grabbed a couple of friends and we shot a 13 minute Q&A,” he said. “The last time I checked, our video had over 217,000 views. Pretty sweet.”

A total of 43 countries were represented at the event.

Perry has once again been busy this year.

He’s completed three full marathons, including the prestigious Boston Marathon, where he re-qualified to go back next year.

He’s competed in 10 other races of various lengths and nine Tough Mudder events, completing a total of 33 laps.

Next up will be the World’s Toughest Mudder, which is Perry’s primary focus of the year.

It will be held on November 12 in Las Vegas.

Perry said he was contacted by a journalist from the Guardian in England, who wants to meet with him while he’s in Las Vegas.

Perry is the owner of Internet Kent in downtown Wallaceburg and is an executive member with the Defiance Running Club.
