St. Clair Township home ransacked

Police are looking fir information after a house was ransacked in St. Clair Township.

OPP officials say on Monday October 24, the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was dispatched to an address on Petrolia Line, St. Clair Township, ON. regarding a break, enter and theft.

At just before 1:30 p.m., the Lambton County OPP responded to a residence located in the 2300 block of Petrolia Line, St. Clair Township.

Upon arrival, police were informed by the victim that at some time overnight, unknown persons forced their way into the residence by cutting the front door lock.

Once inside, the entire residence was ransacked and several items were taken. Items reported stolen included various pieces of jewellery, electronics and cash estimated value of approximately $1000. Also reported stolen was a 2006 Cadillac DTS, 4-door, white in colour that was parked in the driveway.

The Ontario Provincial Police Forensic Identification Unit was requested and did attend to assist with the investigation.
