A last-minute online auction is set to go LIVE on Saturday, December 17, featuring a wide variety of items from a farm in Sombra Township.
Vanklaveren Auctions is hosting the online-only auction for Ian Scott and his farm on 1226 Stanley Line, between Kimball and 40 Highway.
“There is vehicles and tractors and a skid steer loader, sports equipment like dirt bikes and street bikes and quads,” said John Vanklaveren.
“Lots of interesting memorabilia and some historical items, and just some old primitives off the farm in Sarnia.”
The auction will take place on their website at vkauctions.ca and anyone interested can click on the online auction tab at youcanbid.ca. You can also get to the auction, by clicking here.
“Click the banner tab for online auctions and than they will register right on the website. They look for the log in or new bidder tab. It will quickly get them registered and than they can start bidding,” Vanklaveren said.
“Each item it cataloged, photographed and there is a detailed description behind each item. Some items may even have a video if they are a motorized unit like this one vehicle that we are selling is a 2002 Ford Thunderbird Convertible so we are going to have a little video of that that we are going to attach and people can see it operational right online.”
Vanklaveren said there will be a viewing at the site on Monday, December 19.
“That is the day prior to the end of the auction,” he said.
“They can come right out to the farm and have a look at the merchandise that they are interested in. They are welcome to start things up that start up and just really do an in depth investigation of each item they are interested in. Than they go home and bid on their phone or home computer with all the conveniences.”
The auction will close on December 20.
“It’s all a cross section of merchandise and its rather short notice so we are looking forward to people participating,” Vanklaveren said.
