Wallaceburg’s Zach Herreweyers, Colorado’s first-round pick in the 2016 NLL Entry Draft, is expected to make his NLL debut on Saturday as the Mammoth hosts the New England Black Wolves.
The Loyola University product was added to the 20-man active roster when John Grant, Jr. was placed on short-term injured reserve on Thursday.
Herreweyers led Loyola with 84 goals in 2015 and 2016 combined, and has represented Canada in world championship competition.
He’s expected to be one of four left-handed forwards to dress on Saturday, joining Zack Greer, Eli McLaughlin and Chris Wardle.
Herreweyers joins Wallaceburg’s Jordan Durston and Tye Belanger, who both play for the Vancouver Stealth, in the professional lacrosse league.
