A Walpole Island woman was arrested after allegedly attempting to cash a stolen cheque.
Police officials say on Friday, January 13, officers attended a Grand Ave West business in regards to a female customer attempting to cash a stolen cheque.
As police arrived on scene, the female attempted to leave but was apprehended a short distance away.
Police received information that the female had four outstanding warrants for her arrest.
As a result, the 35-year-old Walpole Island female was arrested and held for a bail hearing.
The theft remains under investigation.
