Edward Leonard Modde, a resident of Wallaceburg, died peacefully at the Chatham hospital on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the age of 93.
Ed is the son of the late Joseph and Martha (Durnez) Modde. Loved father of Tony Modde (Janis). Dear grandfather of Sarah Santos (Steven) and Brian Modde (Erica) and great grandfather of Jorge and Joaquim ‘Jack’ Santos and Chase, Channer and Summer Modde. Brother of Elmer Modde (Marguerite) of Sterling Heights, Michigan. Predeceased by his younger brother Leon.
Ed was the former owner of Case Farm Equipment in Wallaceburg for 25 years. Most recently, he sold cars at Andre Lanoue Pontiac dealership in Tilbury until he retired at the age of 75.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 7-9 PM on Friday, February 24. The funeral will be celebrated at the funeral home on Saturday, February 25 at 11 AM. Interment in Riverview Cemetery.
