Police investigating two pharmacy robberies

Police in Lambton County and in Sarnia are investigating a pair of separate robberies from this morning.

Sarnia Police officials say today at around 9 a.m. a man attended a pharmacy in the 300 Block of Vidal Street armed with a knife.

The male, who was wearing a mask, attempted to obtain drugs from the pharmacy.

He was deterred from doing so and fled the area on foot.

Police say the male is described as being tall, around six feet, slender build, wearing black wind pants, a grey hoodie and white running shoes.

he total length of the knife he carried was around six inches.

If anyone has information about the robbery, they are being asked to contact Detective Constable Sam Sulaiman at 519-344-8861 ext. 6132 or Crime Stoppers.

In the second incident, Lambton OPP officials say today at approximately 10:15 a.m. a lone suspect entered the Paul Marley Pharmacy located in Wyoming, Ontario and committed the offence of robbery.

The suspect then fled the scene.

Police officials say Wyoming residents would notice an increased OPP presence as they investigate and attempt to capture the suspect.

Additional details will follow as the investigation continues.

There is no word on whether the two crimes are connected.
