Environment Canada officials say strong southwesterly winds of 60 km/h with gusts to 100 km/h are expected to continue late this afternoon before gradually diminishing this evening.

The wind has produced localized damage to trees and buildings across portions of Southwestern Ontario and the Golden Horseshoe.

Local power outages have been reported with further outages possible until this evening.

Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur.

Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.

High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.

Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
