Investigation launched after a stabbing in Sarnia

Police are investigating after a stabbing in Sarnia.

Police officials say on March 12, 2017, at approximately 9:30 p.m., members of the Sarnia Police Service Uniform Patrol responded to an address on Vimy Crescent in regards to a stabbing that had occurred.

Upon arriving on scene it was determined that the 21-year-old victim had been stabbed earlier at an address on Lanark Court and then made his way to the Vimy Crescent address for assistance.

The victim was transported to Bluewater Health and then sent to London for further treatment of his injury where he currently remains.

Officers remain at the Lanark Court address as the crime scene is processed.

The stabbing appears to be an isolated incident and not just a random act.

The Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch continues to investigate the matter and is seeking the public’s assistance to confirm who the suspect is.
