The wait is over, as Parks Blueberries is open for the season.

Hope Parks, one of the owners of the business located in between Bothwell and Thamesville, said blueberries are already for sale, along with many other items as well.

“Frozen blueberries are available right away,” she said.

“We will have a special for the month, our blueberry lemon meringue pie. There are frozen raspberries, strawberries and rhubarb (rhubarb should be fresh by May). Our home made frozen meat pies, chicken or beef, small or large are also for sale.”

Parks Blueberries also has a brand new kitchen line, along with new jewelry lines and new clothing lines.

“We have more than we ever have,” Hope said.

“We have nice tops for all different ages, shapes and sizes. Our kids toys section has expanded as well. We have lots of new toys from Melissa and Doug. Beautiful educational toys. New educational puzzles.”

Hope added: “Lots of gift ware ideas. We always make gift baskets as well. You can name a price, pick a basket and pick the items in it or we can have one pre-made for you. That can be with gifts or it could be with tea, cookies, maple syrup. Put a pie in the bottom and we can decorate the top. We do gift wrapping too. We have hand made wreaths, plus Easter and spring decor.”

The cafe on site will be open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., seven days a week.

“The cafe food is always fresh and delicious,” Hope said.

Parks is also going to be hosting Easter turkey dinners on Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16
