An arrest has been made following a robbery in downtown Dresden earlier this week.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say, as previously reported, on Monday, April 10, just after 3:30 p.m. a man entered Gabby’s Express Gas Station located at 308 St. George Street in Dresden and demanded money while allegedly pointing a weapon at the gas bar employee.

Police say he left without getting any money after a brief encounter with the employee.

No injuries were reported to the police.

Through investigation, police learned who the man responsible was.

Early this morning at approximately 5 a.m. the 25-year-old Thamesville man was arrested and charged with robbery.

He has been held in custody for a bail hearing.
