Police looking for witnesses after motorcycle crash

The Chatham-Kent Police Service are looking for information after a motorcycle crash last weekend.

Police officials say last Saturday, June 10, just before 6 p.m., emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Bloomfield Road between the Fifth and Sixth Concessions.

Police allege that the rider of the motorcycle left the road and travelled through a ditch located on the east side of the road and hit a driveway that crosses the ditch launching the rider off the bike.

The rider was initially transported to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Public General Campus and then later taken to London Health Sciences Centre St. Joseph’s Campus for additional care for a head injury.

The rider’s condition has since improved, police say.

The Chatham-Kent Police Traffic Unit is investigating this collision and seeking the help of any witnesses to this incident.

Call Const. Doug Cowell at 519-355-1092 if you witnessed this collision.
