Youth job fair planned this week

Summer is almost here.

How will you use your time?

You could be earning money while getting valuable work experience for the future.

The Chatham Kent Employment Resource Centre invites youth between the ages of 15-30 who are looking for work to come out to the Chatham Public Library (120 Queen St, Chatham), 1st floor Meeting room between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28.

Employers will be accepting resumes and may be conducting interviews on the spot. There will be jobs posted at the fair that would be suitable for students looking for summer employment as well as those who may be looking for full time work.

The Employment Resource Staff will be on hand to help you create or fine tune your resume before you meet with employers if you need it.

Employers confirmed for the event are recruiting for these positions:

– Nettleton’s Corn Detassling: Corn Detasslers

– Reliance: FT Entry level HVAC positions

– YMCA of Chatham Kent: Youth instructor, Day camp counsellor, Wellness coach, Lifeguard, Housekeeper, Wellness instructor, Membership sale and service. As well as the following volunteer positions (which have the potential for hires): Adult group fitness, Wellness host, Membership service

– YA: Call Centre Associates

– Concentrix: Customer Service, Part and Full Time

– Canadian Executive Search: General labour
