Police are investigating after some ‘road runner ducks’ were stolen in Wallaceburg.

Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers officials say in the early morning of Friday June 30, unknown suspects removed three female and one male road runner duck, along with 25 eggs in a nest, from a location on Water Street in Wallaceburg.

“Road runner ducks are a unique breed and the owner describes the adults as being brown and white, one was all grey and the other was white,” Crime Stoppers officials stated.

“The eggs were held in a single straw nest that was also taken. The ducks have great sentimental value to the owner and were raised as pets.”

Crime Stoppers is seeking the location of the animals or information that identifies the persons responsible for the theft.
