A Wallaceburg man is in custody and is facing forcible confinement charges after an incident on Thursday.
Police officials say officers received a complaint from a woman who had been involved in a relationship with a man.
She disclosed alleged historical incidents pertaining to the man forcing her into certain areas within their shared home where he would yell and belittle her.
The man would allegedly prevent her from leaving by blocking her movements with his body.
There were no complaints of any injuries suffered as a result of these incidents.
At 6:30 p.m. the 55-year-old Wallaceburg man was located at the residence and arrested.
He was charged with one count of forcible confinement.
He was then transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he has been held for a bail hearing.
