It’s Throwback Thursday once again!

Here is an old photograph of the charter train that was granted in August 1903 for the Chatham, Wallaceburg & Lake Erie Railroad.

It was officially opened on November 21, 1905. Trains ran every hour and it took 55 minutes to travel from Wallaceburg to Chatham.

The company was closed in 1927 after competition from the automobile forced the closure.

Thanks to the Wallaceburg & District Museum for this photograph.
