Flying W’s Gymnastic Club gearing up for fall session

The Flying W’s Gymnastic Club is holding registration this week and all of next week, up until Friday, September 8.

Linnea Druer, the head coach for the club, said kids will learn many skills with the club.

“With us they will learn the basic safety in the gym,” Druer said.

“They start out at the 18-months where they are working with their parents, learning to be comfortable with other children and running and jumping and springing… rolls and cartwheels and all the fun stuff that they do. As they progress they will learn more advance skills where they will learn how to put skills together and performing them on different apparatuses.”

The club has classes available for from the age of 18 months, up to adult, and everyone in between.

“Classes will start on Monday, September 11 and we run four sessions a year,” Druer said.

“Then we also have summer camps, birthday parties, P.A. Day camps, and March break camps. Lots of fun stuff for kids in the community to do.”

If anyone is interested in registering, they need to go to their 6850 Baseline Road location in Wallaceburg, the old Nestle building.

“We don’t have debit currently, so it is cash or cheque or E-transfer,” Druer said.

“You have to actually come into the building to fill out an application form and make the payment.”

People can register between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. Monday through Friday or 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the evenings next week.

More details are available on the club’s Facebook page.
