Police looking to ID steak stealing suspect

Police are seeking help from the public to identify an alleged steak thief in Bothwell.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say on August 29 at approximately 2:36 p.m. an unknown woman is allegedly captured on video surveillance taking six packages of steaks and placing them into her shopping cart.

This occurred at the Bothwell Foodland located at 245 Main Street.

Police allege she can then be seen taking them out of the cart and putting them into her own personal bag.

Police say the woman exited the store at approximately 2:40 p.m. making no attempt to pay for the steaks concealed inside her personal bag.

The value of the stolen food is $120.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying this woman as she is the theft suspect.
