Mrs Elizabeth “Betty” Orton, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice, in Chatham, at the age of 84 years.
Betty was born in Sombra Township and was a daughter of the late Theodor and Margaret (Foster) Thomas.
Beloved wife of the late Thomas “Tom” Orton (2014).
Loving mother of Robin Orton, Colleen Orton, Tom Orton Jr., Kevin (Crystal) Orton and Colin Orton.
Sadly missed by her grandchildren Robin, Christine, Billy, Todd, Shawn, Kevin, Melissa, Melinda, Colin and many great grandchildren.
Kind sister of Margaret, Evelyn, Tommy, Carol and Jimmy.
Predeceased by her daughter Bonnie Orton (1953), her son Ian (1962) and her brothers George and Donny.
Also sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Betty was a loyal member of the Holy Family CWL for many years.
Friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from the chapel of the funeral home, at 11 a.m.
Cremation will follow.
