Several guns were seized after a search warrant was executed on Wednesday.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say on March 21 members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section, with the assistance of the Critical Incident Response Team, executed a search warrant on Longwoods Road.
Police say a .22 cal Boston Bulldog handgun, 3 pellet guns and ammunition was seized.
A 48-year-old Chatham man was charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon and unsafe storage.
He was released pending a future court date of April 18, 2018.
