Special weather statement continues

A special weather statement remains in effect, as rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm is expected today.

Forecasters say a low pressure system will bring a significant amount of rain today.

“Rain began overnight and will end early this evening,” Environment Canada officials stated.

“Total rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm are expected. This is below Environment Canada’s criteria for rainfall warnings. However it may be enough to result in ponding of water in poorly drained areas where the ground is frozen.”

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
