The Walpole-Algonac Ferry is closed for the day due to an ice blockage in the St. Clair River.
The ferry company posted the news on social media this afternoon, Tuesday, March 27.
“Sorry to inform you all, but I have to report that the ferry is shut down due to major ice blockage,” the social media post says.
The ferry company says they will try to resume on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.
The ferry runs between Walpole Island and Algonac, Michigan.
