Wallaceburg man running in LKM for the Trillium Party

Brian Everaert (Trillium Party of Ontario)

A Wallaceburg man is hoping to become the next MPP in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.

Brian Everaert, who now lives in Wilkesport, will be on the ballot in June as the Trillium Party of Ontario candidate in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.

“The reason I have decided to run for MPP in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex is simple, direct democracy,” Everaert says on his Trillium Party profile.

“For far too long the good people have had their voices silenced by Party First policies. The Trillium Party offers a far more transparent and respectful way of representing the people of Ontario.”

Everaert was born and raised in Wallaceburg and has been a member of the International Association of Bridge Structural and Ornamental Ironworkers for 20 years.

Everaert is a graduate of Fanshawe College as an industrial mechanic millwright and he is also a graduate of St. Clair College as a journeyman ironworker.

Already throwing their names in the mix are incumbent MPP Monte McNaughton, the Progressive Conservative candidate, and Todd Case, the NDP candidate.

The 42nd Ontario general election is scheduled to be held on June 7.
