Representatives from TekSavvy Solutions Inc. presented a cheque on Wednesday for $100,000 to the Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) in support of the $6.9 million Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign.

Foundation officials say this extremely generous donation comes on the heels of the Foundation of CKHA’s announcement last week that one million dollars is needed by May 28 to complete the campaign.

“This donation is supporting equipment that will advance information sharing to physicians for quicker a.nd more accurate diagnosis,” stated Spencer Antaya, Strategic Partnershipsand Sponsorships Manager, TekSavvy Solutions Inc. in a press release.

“We are investing in equipment that will serve the community where many of our employees and our customers live.”

Launched in 2014, the Foundation of CKHA’s $6.9 million Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign is raising funds in support of 17 new pieces of equipment for CKHA’s Chatham and Wallaceburg hospital sites.

To date, 13 new ultrasounds, a bone densitometer, and a new digital mammography machine have been installed through the funds raised by the community. The remaining funds will support the purchase of an urgently needed CT Scan.

“We are thrilled to announce this exciting partnership with TekSavvy Solutions Inc. that brings us $100,000 closer to reach our completion goal,” stated Mary Lou Crowley, Executive Director, Foundation of CKHA.

“With only two months remaining in our fundraising efforts, this donation will have a significant impact on local healthcare for our community.”

Since the Foundation of CKHA’s inception, TekSavvy Solutions Inc. has contributed more than $120,000 towards funding excellence in quality healthcare, equipment, education and advanced patient care that improves and saves lives.
