A collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle back in March has turned fatal.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say on March 27, 2018 emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Erie Street South in Wheatley.
As a result of the collision, John Allen Bedford, 78-years-old from Wheatley, was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
Police say on April 8, Mr. Bedford succumbed to his injuries and died.
“Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service offer their deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Bedford and everyone involved,” police officials said in a media release.
The collision remains under investigation.
