The Wallaceburg Red Devils pounded the Point Edward Pacers by a score of 18-8 on Tuesday. Wallaceburg is now 4-1 on the season, good for first place in the Ontario Junior ‘B’ Lacrosse League Far West division. The Red Devils will be back at home on Saturday when they host the Owen Sound Stars. The game gets underway at 7 p.m. and there is also an autograph session taking place following the game. Wallaceburg will also host Guelph on Sunday at 3 p.m

Wallaceburg’s Jordan Durston was named as one of the team’s Offensive Players of the Year, as voted on by his Buffalo Bandits teammates. It was a career-year for Durston, as he put up 65 points (24 goals and 41 assists) in 18 games with the Bandits.

The Wallaceburg Tartans topped the Great Lakes Wolf Pack in LKSSAA senior girls rugby action on Tuesday, May 1. The final score was 27-5. Stephanie Brown scored two tries to lead the Tartans, while Marcella Nahdee, Hailey Dumais and Lindsay Jardine had one try apiece. Emily Tapp was successful on one convert for Wallaceburg.

The Wallaceburg Tartans senior girls soccer team topped the UCC Lancers on Wednesday by a score on 3-2. Samantha St. Croix, Madison deBakker and Sydney Nutt scored for the Tartans.

In senior boys soccer action, the Lambton-Kent Cardinals tied the McGregor Panthers, 1-1. Mark Mortier scored the lone Cardinals goal. Meanwhile, the Tartans fell to UCC by a score of 3-0.
