The Board of Trustees for the St. Clair Catholic District School Board recently awarded a contract for renovations to Holy Family Catholic School in Wallaceburg.
Board officials say the work will include demolition and replacement of a section of the building’s existing exterior masonry, flooring replacement and some interior partitions to create a new classroom.
New millwork will also be installed in the new classroom space and the staff room.
Two multi-fixture washrooms and three individual washrooms will also be constructed.
Existing mechanical and electrical systems in the renovated space will also be upgraded.
The contract has been awarded to Elmara Construction Co. Ltd., of Tecumseh.
The total project cost is $562,211 and requires the approval of the Board of Trustees, in accordance with the Board’s purchasing policy.
