Wrench & BB gun involved in family dispute

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege on Monday morning on June 11 a man began arguing with a family member while in their home.

The incident escalated when he threatened her with a wrench and later a BB gun, police allege.

The man left the residence prior to police arrival and failed to return by 11 p.m. as per his court ordered curfew.

The next morning, police located the man and he was arrested.

The 21-year-old Chatham man was charged with failing to comply, two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of being in possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and two counts of uttering threats.

He was transported to the Courthouse pending a bail hearing.
