Pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle in Sarnia

Sarnia Police Service officials allege on July 7 at approximately 930 p.m., the Sarnia Police Service responded to a single motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Murphy Road just south of Bradford Drive.

Police say at this time a 73-year-old male pedestrian was crossing eastbound on Murphy Road and was struck by a northbound motor vehicle being operated by a 46-year-old male.

The pedestrian was transported to Bluewater Health in Sarnia and died shortly after as a result of his injuries, police say.

The Sarnia Police Service are continuing their investigation and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact the investigating officer Detective Constable Jim McCabe at 519-344-8861 ext. 6167.
