The Sombra Optimist Club is hosting a Fire Truck ‘RIG-ata’ on Saturday July 14 at Brander Park in Port
Lambton featuring antique fire trucks from the 1920’s to 1980’s.
The festivities start off with a parade of the antique fire truck rigs that have served across Canada and
the United States that will leave Brander Park at 11 a.m.
The procession will drive up the St. Clair Parkway to Courtright Line where they will turn around and return to Brander park for staging and pumping demonstrations for the spectators throughout the afternoon.
‘Stan the Fireman’ will be giving kids free rides through the park and children will be able to participate
in a Junior Fire Obstacle Course.
Food and refreshments will be available for purchase.
All proceeds will help the Sombra Optimist Club in supporting the youth in the community.
