Toys being collected in Wallaceburg for ‘Positivity Day’

As part of the ’12 Days of Positivity’ in Chatham-Kent, a Wallaceburg woman is hoping to help some local children in need.

Krystal Gyuricza told the Sydenham Current she is collecting new stuffed animals and single toys, like Barbie dolls and action figures.

Gyuricza said she plans to distribute the toys between the Chatham-Kent Police Service, Chatham-Kent Fire & Emergency Services and Chatham-Kent EMS.

“So when they encounter a child during a stressful time, they have something to help comfort them,” Gyuricza said.

“I’ll even accept money donations… so I will go to our local Walmart and buy what toys I can, trying to help do my part in this ’12 Days of Positvity’.”

Gyuricza said on September 13, Positivity Day, she will be set up at the old Sobeys parking lot on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and again between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

“If anyone would like for me to pick up before, just email me krystalg26@hotmail.com,” Gyuricza said.

“I’ll be glad to make arrangements for pick up. Also, the Knights of Pythias is helping with Heather Blake as well. I’m just doing this to help make a child happy.”

Gyuricza can also be reached on her cell at 519-365-3506.

Blake can also be reached on her cell at 519-359-9886.
