El Salvador fundraiser tonight in Wallaceburg
Hugo Ramos, who is originally from the Central American country, is holding a fundraiser tonight at James Street Eatery in downtown Wallaceburg.
“It is a fundraiser for a little educational program in El Salvador,” Ramos told the Sydenham Current.
“It is for a little fishing village… they basically have nothing there. So we are trying to give a little bit of education to the youth, so they don’t migrate. This is one of those little villages where all the people are fleeing and they are coming to the border in the United States and they are splitting people there with kids. This is one of those places.”
For tickets, which are $25, call Ramos at 519-312-9846 or pop into James Street Eatery.
