AarKel holding a toy drive for the Salvation Army

AarKel Tool and Die is holding a toy drive for the Salvation Army this Thursday, December 6.

The toy drive will be held during the Wallaceburg & District Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours event.

Instead of paying an admission fee at the door, AarKel is asking for anyone attending to bring a $20 gift for the toy drive.

All of the toys will then be delivered to the Salvation Army later this week.

“We are just asking for all ages as we don’t have a list or anything from Salvation Army,” Val Foster, quality control manager for AarKel and a director with the Chamber, told the Sydenham Current.

“AarKel has another program with the employees that they give money and we will get a list from Salvation Army on exactly what they are looking for for toys and we go out and purchase those.”

Business After Hours starts at 5 p.m. and it runs through 7 p.m. at the AarKel facility, located at 17 Elm Dr. S. in Wallaceburg.
