Chatham-Kent Council: January 21, 2019 agenda

Chatham-Kent Council is set to meet for a regular/planning meeting on Monday night, January 21, 2019.

The meeting is set to begin at 6 p.m. at the Chatham-Kent Civic Centre in Chatham.

Some of the items up for discussion, include:

– Council will consider a motion by West Kent Counc. Mark Authier about Security Cameras in Municipal Parks, including Glen Mickle in Wallaceburg. Learn more, here.

– Council will debate and vote on a report regarding Council Compensation.

– Tim Dick, Director, Drainage, Asset and Waste Management will provide a presentation on the 2019 Capital Budget.

– Chatham Counc Karen Kirkwood-Whyte is bringing forward her motion on creating a Community Partnership Fund Review Committee.

– Council will discuss a report on the Chatham Hope Non Profit Housing Inc. – Replacement Unit for 98 McGuigan Ave., Chatham (Sold).

– Council will vote on Committee Recommendations – Bridges and Culverts.

– Council will hear an update on the Adapting to the Future Storm and Ice Regime in the Great Lakes – Chatham-Kent Lake Erie Shoreline Study (presentation by Peter Zuzek, Zuzek Inc.)

– John Norton, General Manager, Community Development, will provide a presentation on the Continuous Improvement and ‘Red Tape’ Reduction Project.

– Multiple information reports: Chatham-Kent Renovates Pilot Program, Ontario Human Rights Commission Publication: ‘In the Zone: Housing, Human Rights and Municipal Planning’, Physician Recruitment and Retention, Chatham-Kent Summer Day Camp and Playground Programs, Comprehensive Official Plan Review and 5-Year Official Plan Update, Chatham-Kent Arena Usage Update and Increase Supply and Placement of Gravel.

– A committee report from the Drainage Board, including recommendations from its meeting held on January 15, 2019.

– Appointment to the Entegrus Inc. Board.

– Council will vote on a report about the Municipal Capital Facilities By-law for Affordable Housing Project at 45 Michener Road, Chatham.
