Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Shortly after 3:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, emergency crews responded to a two vehicle collision on Grande River Line east of Jacob Road in Pain Court.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that a vehicle travelling eastbound crossed the center line and struck a vehicle travelling westbound.
At this time the driver of the eastbound vehicle, a 43-year old Wilkesport, Ontario, man remains in medical care at London Health Sciences with life threatening injuries, while the other driver, a 36-year old Stoney Point, Ontario, woman remains at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with non-life threatening injuries.
The Traffic Unit has taken over the investigation.
