School buses are cancelled today, February 6, across all zones. We are also compiling a list of other cancellations across the community.
Student Transportation Services officials stated all school buses from zones 1 to 8 will not be running all day due to inclement weather.

A freezing rain warning remain in place this morning.
“Freezing rain has developed over the area. Freezing rain could persist through the morning before changing to rain in the afternoon,” forecasters say
“The morning commute will likely be affected due to the potential for untreated surfaces to become icy. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break.”

– Bkejwanong Kinomaagewgamig is closed today on Walpole Island, due to the weather conditions. “Due to the weather BK is closed today. Please stay safe and warm,” school officials say.
– Wallaceburg Christian School is closed for the day. “Buses are cancelled today due to weather and road conditions. Therefore school is cancelled as well. Stay safe,” school officials say.
– St. Clair Catholic District School Board officials say buses are cancelled in all zones for today. All SCCDSB schools in Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton are open.
– St. Clair Catholic District School Board officials say kinderSTART registration at Gregory A. Hogan in Sarnia; and St. Ursula and St. Joseph in Chatham will proceed as scheduled. Register students for Full Day Kindergarten for September 2019 from 9:00 to 5:30 p.m.
– Lambton-Kent District School Board officials say school buses in all zones (Zones 1-8) are cancelled today (Feb. 6) due to poor road conditions. All LKDSB schools will remain open.
– Lambton-Kent District School Board officials say kindergarten registration at the following school will continue as scheduled from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.: Queen Elizabeth II Public School – Chatham, Victor Lauriston Public School, Winston Churchill Public School, Cathcart Boulevard Public School.
– Thrive Bus Ministry will not be running this evening. “U-Turn Ministries has a transportation policy that is set in place. The policy shares that if the Lambton Kent District School Board cancels busing morning and afternoon due to inclement weather, unfortunately so do we. This evening Team U-Turn will not be running Thrive due to inclement weather. But don’t worry. We will make it up to you all! Friends and family be safe out there today,” organizers said on social media.
– VOV exercise classes at the Wallaceburg Adult Activity Centre have been cancelled for the day.
– School buses for Chatham Christian School, the French school board and Community Living are cancelled.
– Chatham and Wallaceburg day programs for the Alzheimer’s Society are cancelled for today.
– The Wallaceburg site of the Chatham-Kent Family Health Team’s after hour clinic has been cancelled for February 6 due to road conditions.
