Paling: Sara Jane (McFadden), a resident of Dresden, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Meadow Park Long-Term Care in Chatham at the age of 90.
Born in Chatham Township, daughter of the late Clarence and Ada McFadden. Beloved wife of the late Lyle C. Paling (1989). Loving mother of Susan (Mike Couture) and Christine (Chris Sandelli) of London and Carolyn Paling of Chatham. Loved grandma of Jessica Henderson (Miguel Cruz), Jarod Henderson (Alison Prentice), Emily and Natalie Sandelli. Proud great-grandma of David and Daniel Cruz Henderson. Dear sister of Douglas McFadden and Max (Doreen) McFadden. Sadly missed by nieces, nephews and many life-long friends. Predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-law Lyle and Edna, Jean, Garnet and Lois, Morley and Muriel and infant sister, Jean. Sara was very close to niece Bette Northcott with whom she co-authored the history of Turnerville, Ontario. She leaves a legacy in words and music.
A special thank you for the compassionate care from all the staff at Maple City Residence and Meadow Park. The family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 10 am until the time of the memorial service at 12 noon.
