Police: Bus crash results in charge, MVC, warrants

Update: Collision in Morpeth involving school bus

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Friday morning, around 8:30 a.m. emergency crews responded to a collision involving a school bus and transport truck at the intersection of Tylee Street and Talbot Trail.

Eight children were on the bus at the time of the collision.

Thankfully, only minor injuries were reported.

The driver of the transport truck, a 67-year-old Simcoe man, was charged with careless driving.

Executed warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Around 9:30 a.m. on May 24 a 24-year-old male was arrested at the Chatham court house on an arrest warrant for the offence of Theft and Possession Under $5,000.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 44-year-old female was arrested by Windsor Police Service, on Chatham-Kent warrants for the offences of Theft and Possession Under $5,000 x2 and Fail to Appear.

She was transported to Chatham-Kent Police HQ and held for bail.

Collision on Ridge Line

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 3:30 p.m., in the area of Mink Line on Ridge Line a vehicle left the roadway, striking a hydro pole, knocking down live lines.

The driver was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with non-life threatening injuries.

The collision remains under investigation.

Intoxicated in a public place

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Around 2:30 a.m., three males were arrested on King St. in Chatham, who were believed to have been causing a disturbance.

All parties were lodged until sober.
