Tyler Borth captured the crown as the leading dash driver at Dresden Raceway last year as he amassed 38 wins in just 11 days of racing and this year he is aiming to do the same.

Borth used a perfect day of sunny skies and warm temperatures as a backdrop to push his season total to six wins on the season at Ontario’s Little Saratoga.

The 27-year-old driver visited the winner’s circle with CAMPASSION, SPORTSRANGER, ZORGWIJK QUEEN and TINAS WAR to notch his four wins on the day.

“I had some live mounts and some good racing luck”, said the modest Borth, adding, “I like Dresden and always seem to do OK here.”

CAMPASSION cruised to victory in 1:58.2 for brothers Doug and Dennis Belan of Oil Springs and Brian Fitzgerald of Dresden.

The four-year-old Camluck mare is trained by Dennis Belan.

SPORTSRANGER was Borth’s second win of the day for owner/trainer William Leon of Maidstone.

The seven-year-old Sportswriter gelding paced in 2:00.1.

The Ingersoll driver notched his third win of the day at the controls of ZORGWIJK QUEEN in 2:01.3. The six-year-old Armbro Riccochet mare is owned by Zorgwijk Stables of Ancaster and trained by Rick Wade.

Borth’s final winner of the day was behind a mare that he trains and co owns with Martin Hossack of Thamesford, TINAS WAR. The eight-year-old Mutineer offspring won her fourth of the year after trotting the mile in 2:01.1.

Nick Steward made three trips to the winner’s circle with IM RYLAN, SQUIRT and FADING SHADOW while Marc St. Louis Jr. notched two wins on the day aboard CANTCOUNTMEOUT and TEREM TWO BITS.

Over 800 people bet $29,026 on the day while the Chase the Ace jackpot is
estimated to be almost $600 next week.
