Can Chatham-Kent Break The 50/50 Record?

The 50/50 draw for the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation is creeping close to a record set by the International Plowing Match as the largest 50/50 draw in Chatham-Kent’s history. The current record of 168,000 was set last September, the current total of the CKHAF’s 50/50 draw is hovering at $140,000 with 3 days left for residents of Ontario to buy tickets.

“We are very excited and thankful of all of the support from the community,” says Mary Lou Crowley, President and CEO of the CKHA Foundation, “but we are trying to spread the word with one more announcement to see if we can set a new record. The generosity of this community is amazing and we can’t wait to see if we can set a new record, which will make a significant impact in Chatham-Kent!”

Carson Warrener, VP Sales and Marketing for Maple City Homes who was a presenting sponsor for the draw says, “The funds from this draw will be going towards a key piece of equipment that will be needed for the Urology Department that will help countless residents of Chatham-Kent, we are very proud to be associated with the draw, and hope that we can set a new record.”

Robb Nelson, CEO of Argriroots, the other presenting sponsor for the draw said, “We know the community has really stepped up to support this draw, we are asking for just a bit more support over the next few days to take the draw total to record levels. If you own a local business, or are in charge of a local organization that employs a group of folks, we would ask that you contact the Foundation and have them come out and sell tickets on site.”

The lucky winning ticket will be drawn Thursday at 1:00pm.
